Congratulations to Sam ‘Swhatta’ Whatley on racking up 100 games for the Monash Blues this Saturday against Parkdale.

A long serving player and quiet achiever, Sam has made himself known at the Blues as a gutsy all-rounder, contributing his efforts across the 1sts, 2nds and 3rds.

A rare player that works just as hard when not in possession of the ball, Sam has been known to dazzle with his talented use on both left and right feet, his consistent hard ball gets and surprising an opponent with a chase down tackle. Many any opponent has gone home crushed after swhatta has given him less than an inch of space and severe punishment when he finds the cherry in his hands.

Occasionally threatening a topknot, somewhat of an extreme sportsman and hater of tomato sauce Sam is one of the many quirky players at Monash that help make the club so unique.
Good luck Sam, it’s been a pleasure over the last 100 games and we look forward to many more to come.
