Andrew Hickey - 250 Games

23 Apr 2015 by James Gray

On ANZAC day V Therry Penola, ’The Scalpel’ will become only the third Monash Blues player to notch up 250 games. Since his debut in the Under 19s in 2001 as a raw kid from Warrnambool, pigeon toed and with a slight limp, he has built a career that is highlighted by team successes, individual honours and unanimous admiration for his dedication and skill.

Andrew is a two-time premiership player (2002 – U19s and 2003 – Seniors) and has finished in the Top 5 of the Seniors Club Best & Fairest nine out of last ten years, including a win in 2012 and five runner-up awards.

Everyone from the Frearson Oval congratulates this great player. Well done Andrew Hickey, you are a club legend.
