GARETH TAYLOR - 100 GAMES

13 Jul 2018 by Luke Leviston

Congratulations go to Gareth Taylor for playing his 100th game for the club this weekend. Arriving at the club as a defender, Gareth assumed the role of key forward to the need of the club at the time. Firsts’ lead goal scorer multiple years, Gaz continues to redefine his game to best serve the team. He is most dangerous when up and running with space to sell some candy with his characteristic side step. Instrumental in getting the club back into B grade, he has put in many ‘heroic’ performances.

Fond of the rubdown table, Gareth has had his fair share of injuries and following that tumultuous year of 3 consecutive hamstrings, he is largely responsible for the term ‘Taylor hamstrings’ being coined. A proven performer on field and occasionally off it, Gaz is known for his persistence. He regularly puts in extras – whether it’s strength work in the gym, injury rehab, aerobic work, cross training or club admin – to make sure he’s done all he can for the team come game day. Well done Gaz on reaching this milestone! We wish you luck for your game this weekend.
