Lachlan Buck - 100 Games

21 May 2021 by Luke Leviston

Lachlan Buck plays his 100th game for the club this Saturday. Hailing from the isolated fishing village of Lakes Entrance in far East Gippsland, he joined us in 2014 as a wide-eyed youngster. Bucky was part of the famous super draft of that year that included the likes of Charles “Chugga” Cosgriff, Jake “Poodle” Meade & Pat “Pat” Brimacombe. He is described by his teammates as the ultimate utility that specialises in kicking cheap junk time goals whilst “resting” up forward.

As Captain of the Reserves team Lachlan has always displayed admirable leadership qualities through the good times and the bad. With an excellent tactical understanding of the game and a never-say-die attitude, he has dragged the Blues over the line on multiple occasions. Lachlan’s girlfriend and Carlton Blues tragic Emma Draffin joined him at the Monash Blues in 2019 and they have been the power couple of the club ever since. The epitome of a team player and great clubman, Lachlan is always one of the first to volunteer for any jobs around the club and often goes underappreciated. Congratulations on 100 games Bucky!
